Edward Mcknight Kauffer (1890-1954) was an American artist specialising in poster art and moved to London at the start of WWI and remained their his whole career. Kauffer is best known for the 140 posters he produced for the London Underground and later London Transport. His style was a mix of abstract, futurist, cubism among others.

There has been growing demand for McKnight-Kauffer posters with some of his London Underground posters achieving 5 figure sums at auction.
