London Underground ‘Baker Street / Neasden enamel cab destination plate
Produced for the London Underground (Metropolitan Railway). Doubled sided enamel sign with brass ends. Measures 60cm (L) by 10cm (H). Condition: Excellent used condition.
This sign came from a 1938 CO/CP stock Underground cab on the Metropolitan Line. Lovely original item. Baker Street was often the southern terminus for express services into the city from the far reaching suburbs of the Metropolitan Railway. Neasden was the Northern terminus for inner city services and the location of the Metropolitan Railway depot.
