These lovely enamel signs were mounted on the iron fencing that surrounds London Zoo in the 1960s. They directed visitors to the nearest entrance. See photo of an example still in-situ.

London Zoo, originally named ‘Zoological Society of London’ is set within Regents Park in the City of Westminster. Opening in 1828, London Zoo is the oldest Zoo in the world. The ZSL coat of arms featured on the sign was granted in 1959.
