Manufactured by Dunlop. Solid wood with cord strings and a leather-style grip. Measures 138cm (H) 46 cm (W). Condition: Outstanding with minor marks and blemishes.

Since the 1960s, it has been common for tennis racket manufacturers to produce giant replicas for point of sale displays and promotional events. This stunning example is a huge Dunlop Maxply McEnroe which was the last wooden racket John McEnroe used before moving to the Dunlop Max 200G graphite racket in 1983. Like the real racket, this giant promotional racket enjoys the same outstanding craftsmanship with 9 types of wood used in its manufacture.

The Dunlop Maxply McEnroe was launched in 1982 and based on the market leading Maxply Fort. This would be one of the last wooden rackets Dunlop produced and amazingly was launched in the same year as their revolutionary graphite Max 200G.
