Printed sign. Black ink on white-lined board. Dated 1998. Measures 60cm x 39cm. Excellent condition, some minor wear at corners. Currently framed but available unframed. Provenance: Recovered by a member of the AELTC maintenance team, this sign was original displayed in the Ladies changing room.
This cool relic from Wimbledon sets out the strict rules that govern players clothing and equipment. Since 1963, the All England Club demand players at the Wimbledon Championships play entirely in white (with few exceptions) and there are specific measurements that sponsorship logos can not exceed.
