Original Advertsing Poster ‘Three Wheelers from M.F. Sharland Ltd - Main Agents for Bond and Reliant

Designer & printer unknown. Poster measures approximately 70cm (H) x 40cm (W) in a 80cm (H) x 60cm (W) Frame. Excellent condition. Some minor foxing and creases (stored rolled, never folded). Glazed Framed (Can be purchased unframed).

Today, a couple of shabby retail units occupy the building at 26 Plumstead Road SE18 (London) where M.F. Sharland, main dealer for Bond and reliant three-wheeler cars, once operated.

The beautiful car featured in this poster is a Bond 875, produced between 1966-1970. Bond was a competitor of Reliant until Reliant bought them in 1969. The Bond 875 was a 34 horse power, rear-mounted three-wheeler and due to its fibreglass and aluminium body it weighed just 400kg. It had a top speed of 83 mph and achieved 0-62mph in 22.5 secs! Cost new was £549 which was more than the 4-wheeled Mini at the time.

There seems to be no information on M.F. Sharland publically available, other than being listed as a parts stockist for Aerial cars as early as 1959.

Available framed or unframed (rolled).
