Two 1970s framed London Underground Carriage Diagrams - Northern Line and Victoria Line

Colour lithograph on paper. Printed by Leonard Ripley & Co Limited. Mounted in a wood and glass frame. Measures 150cm x 30cm (Framed). Print Code (Northern Line) 1/75/1322M/5000. No print code on Victoria Line diagram. Condition: Northern Line is excellent. Victoria Line diagram has a stain near to the left edge and some general browning.

These two line diagrams were printed in the mid-1970s and would have been displayed above the window along the carriage walls of London Underground trains. Whilst the Victoria Line is a simple single-line diagram (Walthamstow Central to Brixton), The Northern Line diagram shows its complex branches along with a British Rail branch from Moorgate to Drayton Park. It also shows Strand Station as Closed for Jubilee Line development. Strand was never reopened under that name, instead it merged with Trafalgar Square under the name Charing Cross.
