This beautiful and exceptionally rare map by Fred Stingemore is in lovely condition and is professionally framed with UV filtering Art Glass. These maps were produced for display in Underground stations and saw very limited print runs, this being number 741 of just 1000 (with most being disposed of when the maps were updated).
Frederick Stingemore worked in the London Underground Drawing Office for over 40 years. He designed a broad variety of maps and posters dating back to before WWI. Most notably he designed the last series of Underground pocket maps (1925-1932) before Harry Beck's iconic diagram was introduced in 1933.
