1907 Central London Railway Map - Anglo-French Exhibition Issue
Central London Railway (1907)
Printed by Waterlow & Sons for CLR. Colour lithograph on paper. Information on verso. Folded as issued.
This rare issue of the Central London Railway map is a revision of its first map upon opening in 1900, presumably issued ahead of the Franco-British Exhibition at Shepherd’s Bush (1908). It refers to the exhibition as Anglo-French Exhibition, its original name before they changed in late 1907. Later CLR issues would use the new unified map under the heading ‘London Electric Railways’ but still branded CLR on the covers.
