This series of ‘miniature maps’ published by the District Railway followed maps of a similar design 1876-1882 which were simply titled “District Railway” or Metropolitan District Railway”. This miniature map continued to be updated and published until 1927.
This issue can be dated to circa 1883. The proposed Inner Circle Completion Line is shown as a red dashed line (opened in 1884). On the back, the third edition of the large format map is advertised (released in 1883).
