This striking poster, originally titled "London's Alphabet" was commissioned in 2016 to celebrate 100 years of the Johnston typeface. The Johnston typeface was designed by Edward Johnston exclusively for London Transport in 1916.

Whist similar copies of this poster can still be purchased from the LT Museum Shop, this is an original poster intended for display at stations and has been hand signed by Andy Spencer.

This issue carries the #londonisopen headline, a campaign launched by Sadiq Khan in 2016 to promote international business and investment.

Andy Spencer is a talented multi disciplinary designer specialising in graphics, exhibitions, product and digital designs. Now based in Broadstairs, Kent, Andy has been commissioned to produce many posters for London Transport for London and London Transport Museum.
