This iconic carriage panel poster was designed by Clifford and Rosemary Ellis. It features a Giant Panda, one of three London Zoo had acquired in 1938 (named Sung, Tung, and Ming) and they became a great attraction in the Summer of 1939.
Married in 1931, Clifford and Rosemary collaborated on poster designs for Shell, the Empire Marketing Board and General Post Office as well as 21 posters for London Transport.
