A lovely 1960s street sign / nameplate for Bedford Court WC2 which is small street in the heart of Covent Garden. This now iconic design of the City of Westminster street signs was the work of Sir Mischa Black, reknowned British Architect and designer. Despite its modern appearance, Black designed this street sign format in the 1960s and is now under copyright. Black also designed some of the original moquettes for the London Underground.
