This beautiful and vibrant poster was designed by Leslie Carr and depicts a procession of soldiers passing the Guildhall in an Exeter street during the seventeenth century. Possibly intended to represent the arrival of King Charles I and a Royalist army in Exeter in 1644, during the Civil War. Text beneath, with the city's coat of arms. Accompanying text gives details of local guide.
